With our history and Shri. Kesrimal Ji Shah's foresight, we are the founders of Sagwara's Jewellery Market, a journey that actually started in the year 1935.
He used to own a little bicycle shop. It all began in an 8-by-8-foot store in the centre of Sagwara. Initially, only silver jewellery was used to start this enterprise. It was the sole jewellery store in the Sagwara region at the time, and he called it Shah Hiralal Kesrimal Sarraf in honour of his late father.
As time passed by, Kesrimal Ji gradually extended his company and started manufacturing and trading in gold jewellery as well. By 1970, the firm he founded had become a household name throughout the Udaipur region for its dependability, beauty, elaborate patterns, and gold purity. He took the entire domain of this firm to a prosperous stage through his hard work.
But the Gods had some other intentions, and in 1972, Kesrimal Ji discovered the cause of a malignancy, which had been threatening his life. He passed away on December 28, 1974, leaving his son, Shri. Kirti Kumar Ji Shah, to take on full responsibility for the jewellery business.
With our Shah Hiralal Kesrimal Sarraf’s continual progress and compelling efforts, the legendary
status of Sagwara quickly spread over the whole Udaipur division, including Udaipur, Banswara,
and Dungarpur. Seeing the growing scope of the industry, many more Sagwara families entered
this industry with the encouragement and direction of Shah Hiralal Kesrimal Sarraf.
Within a few years, the Sagwara marketplace was now being recognized for its gold jewellery
and trading activities, and Shah Hiralal Kesrimal Sarraf had become a brand and hallmark in
itself.

Kirti Kumar Ji Shah took over the full responsibility of the business after his father, Shri.Kesrimal Ji’s unexpected demise. He solely handled company and family at a very young age(about 18 years) with hard work, honesty, and devotion.
Although worldly or book knowledgewas not flawless, there was no shortage of practical information.
His modest, down-to-earthnature not only grew the business through hard work and good behaviour but also extended thepopularity of himself and his family in all four directions, as his name suggests.
